WORKERS COMPENSATION GROUP RATING PROGRAM
The Chamber contracts with Compensation Consultants, Inc. to provide one of the best premium saving group rating programs in the state. This past year, Chamber members participating in this program saved nearly $1,036,000 in workers comp premiums. Application is fast and easy. Registration forms are available from the Chamber office.

COMMERCIAL BUSINESS INSURANCE 
Qualified Chamber members can receive a 12% premium discount on their property and casualty, auto, and commercial umbrella insurance lines through participation in this most unique program offered  in conjunction with Auto-Owners Insurance company.

NO FEE SECTION 125 PLAN AND ADMINISTRATION
In exchange for your agreement to offer to your employees at least one of AFLAC’s products from their comprehensive menu of supplemental benefits and your ability to sustain a minimum of three participants, AFLAC will waive all fees for full Section 125 Plan administration at your company.

GIFT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
Welcomed at nearly 80 member businesses, the Chamber’s gift certificate program affords a great way to reward your employees and keep local dollars in the hands of local Chamber members. Available in $5 and $10 denominations, use them as holiday gifts or performance rewards. An opportunity to host or to attend this "open house" style event. Typically held on a weeknight, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., all Chamber of Commerce members are invited to attend. A great way to display your facilities, goods and services, network with Chamber members and generate new business.

The Chamber of Commerce constantly monitors business related legislative activity at the national, state and local level. Chamber members are notified of critical issues affecting the business community. The Chamber is a collective legislative advocate for its members and maintains excellent working relationships with local, state and nationally elected officials representing Shelby County.

The Chamber produces and maintains several publications that are provided to members at no charge including the Discover Shelby County membership directory and community image book, monthly newsletter, Industrial Directory, Shelby County maps and phone books.

The Chamber conducts educational and seminar events throughout the year on a variety of business related topics.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOUNDATION
Through the generosity of its members, the Chamber’s Charitable Foundation funds numerous community and educational projects each year.

LEADERSHIP SHELBY COUNTY
The Chamber conducts a regionally recognized leadership-training program that prepares participants to assume leadership roles within Shelby County’s numerous community organizations. Graduates are invited to join the Chamber’s LEADERSHIP ALUMNI group who participate in local community projects and programs.

HUMAN RESOURCES COUNCIL
The Chamber's Human Resources Council is comprised of Chamber member employees who have responsibility for managing their company's Human Resources function. They meet monthly to address common topics of mutual interest. A yearly survey of wages and benefits in Shelby County is conducted and published for participating members.

WOMEN IN NETWORKING
An active group providing programs and topics that relate to women business owners and managers and a great opportunity for networking.

SAFETY COUNCIL
The Chamber of Commerce partners with the Ohio Division of Safety and Hygiene to host speakers and seminars on safety related issues designed to enhance safe working environments. Chamber members are recognized annually for outstanding safety records, programs and achievements.

BUSINESS EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP
A key Chamber committee that interfaces with the educational community with programs such as publication of a Speakers Guide, Parenting Newsletter, World in Motion, teacher job shadowing experiences and recognition.

ZENITH AWARD
The Chamber promotes community service by annually recognizing a Shelby County resident for lifetime community service with its prestigious Zenith Award presented at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner.

BEAUTIFICATION AWARDS
The Chamber encourages esthetic and functional business investment by recognizing outstanding business facility improvement through its Beautification Awards presented at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner.

COMMUNITY REPRESENTATION
The Chamber ’s Board of Directors and Staff represent Chamber members on key community and business development organizations throughout Shelby County such as the West Ohio Development Council, Community Improvement Corporation, United Way, JVS Business Advisory Council, Postal Customer Council, and Edison College Foundation.
